Day 1:
- Departure
Meet at Pearson Airport, say farewell to friends who have come
to say bon voyage, board our wide-body AC jet for a non-stop flight to
Tel Aviv and - Israel, here we come!
Day 2:
- Arrival
PM arrival
at Ben Gurion Airport near Tel Aviv. Our representative and guide will meet
you, help you through customs and porters will load your bags onto our latest
model, super deluxe air conditioned tourist bus. In the evening, a welcome dinner
at the Olive & Fish restaurant.
D. Today the second departure on
LY will take place.
Day 3:
– Jerusalem
Today we begin the day with a Shehechiyanu
ceremony. We will visit “Otef
Yerushalayim” the new defence wall surrounding the city and many
observation points surround the city. We will continue to the Kotel, followed
by a tour of the neighbourhoods of Jerusalem. Visit Mea Shearim
to watch the preparation for the Passover. Drive through the various parts of
Jerusalem to get acquainted with this fascinating city. Visit Ammunition
Hill, the site of the battle that liberated Jerusalem in 1967. Early return to the hotel to prepare
for the communal Seder which will take place in the evening. BD
Today the second departure arrives at
7:40 am and will join the tour upon arrival.
Day 4: –
Passover in Jerusalem
This morning we participate in an optional walking tour of the Old
City of Jerusalem, entering the gates of the Old City to explore the Jewish
Quarter. Today is the first day
of Pesach and during the afternoon you can rest, visit relatives or walk in the
streets of Jerusalem, absorbing the special holiday spirit of this holy city.
In the evening we’ll have dinner at Beit Shalom. BD
Day 5:– Jerusalem
We begin our day at the Old City. An introduction
to the history of the land of Israel and the region - get first-hand
information on all the new developments in the area. Visit the Herodian
mansion and the new “Hafirot Hakotel” (the new Wall
excavations). Visit the new Davidson Exhibition and the Southern
Wall where we will see parts of the original second temple
wall! We visit the expanded site of the
City of David. New
discoveries make this site unique, extremely interesting and allow the
historians to illustrate the events of King David’s days. Dinner will be served at the hotel. BD
Day 6:– New City of
Jerusalem
We begin our touring at the Model of Jerusalem,
which depicts the Herodian period (Second Temple). We continue to the Knesset
–the Modern Israeli parliament – and then to the Israel Museum.
The Israel Museum holds a unique collection of Jewish artifacts and historical
treasures that can only be collected in Israel. Continue to the new Yad Vashem, the holocaust
memorial, for a lecture followed by a tour of the exhibits, Children’s
Memorial, and Valley of the Communities. After a special “Yizkor” (memorial
service), we proceed to visit Har Herzl, the burial place of most
of Israel's great statesmen, the
Herzl Museum and the military cemetery where Theodore Herzl is
buried. If time permits, we will visit
the new Supreme Court Building and the Malcha Shopping Mall, and then back to
our deluxe hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 7:
– Archaeological dig
After breakfast, we proceed for archeological
digging at Tel Maresha. We sort out the excavated items and then
visit the caves at Tel-Maresha. In the
afternoon, on the way back to Jerusalem, we continue to the Tank Museum, a place where you see all the tanks
used by the IDF since 1948 or Absalom’s Caves, (if time permits)
where we will view the spectacular stalagmite and stalactite caves. BD
Day 8:
– Bar/Bat
Mitzvah celebration
Evening: Tonight, our celebration continues with the Bar/Bat
Mitzvah party, where we will be entertained by and enjoy the talents of
Israeli artists. A special celebratory dinner
(subject to minimum number of participants) will be served - another evening of
good times and family fun. BD
Day 9:
Tel Aviv
Today we visit Tel Aviv.
On the way we stop in Rehovot to visit the amazing Machon Ayalon ammunition
factory used by the Hagana before the war of independence.
Proceed to the ancient, 4000 year old port city of Jaffa, catch a
breathtaking view of modern Tel Aviv, take a stroll through the narrow and
picturesque streets of the old city, view the art galleries and enjoy the
special Mediterranean atmosphere. We proceed to Independence Hall
and after a short lunch-break, visit the Carmel Market and the Azrieli
Towers (if time permits) Return to Jerusalem for
dinner. BD
Day 10:
– Caesarea, Haifa, Tiberias
Today is the last day of Passover. We will leave Jerusalem
around 12:00 noon and visit Caesarea, Haifa and Tiberias and will
stop for dinner at Decks restaurant, then check into Galei Kinneret in
Tiberias. BD
Day 11:– Galilee
Morning, we will start with at Kibbutz Ayelet Hashachar to test our
target shooting skills. On to Safed the city of the
Kabbalah and artist colony, and then we will drive to Kiryat Shemonah for a
visit to the. We then will proceed to the Golan Heights to visit the Banias,
one of the sources of the Jordan River, continue to Har Ben Tal
which overlooks the Syrian side and the entire Golan Heights. We then continue
to Katzrin to visit its wineries and the local museum. Back to
Tiberias for dinner and overnight BD
Day 12:
– Galilee – Dead Sea
We begin the day Tree Planting in the Golan.
Continue via Tiberias to Beit Shean, the largest
Roman City excavated in the Middle East. We visit the famous amphitheatre, and
walk through the streets to admire the Roman architecture and technical
ingenuity. Continue to the Jordan valley and pause to view the
Kingdom of Jordan from an observation point and continue directly to Ein
Gedi and the Dead Sea.
There we will have a chance for an evening dip in the mineral rich waters and
to cover our bodies with black mud and enjoy the spa which will
stay open to accommodate us. Dinner will be served at the hotel. BD
Day 13:– Masada
& the Negev
Today we will get up early and ascend Masada via
the new cable car. The Bar/Bat
Mitzvah service will be held in our shaded spot, ensuring everyone’s
maximum enjoyment of the ceremony. We will have a comprehensive tour of the
site and after a walk around Herod's Palace. We will then proceed for
exceptional family excitement, a special Desert Experience!
At “Hanokdim Farm” we’ll experience Bedouin style hospitality feasting at a “Chafla
Lunch”. Nearby, we’ll go for a ride in the desert on a camel
caravan! We than head to Eilat. On the way, if time permits, we will
visit the famous Solomon Pillars. We will later check in at our
deluxe hotel. Dinner at the hotel. BLD
Day 14:– Eilat
Enjoy Eilat, great shopping, snorkelling and other water sports
or just enjoy the pool and the facilities at the hotel. Friday night and a
farewell dinner at the hotel

Day 15: – Eilat
Another free day to enjoy Eilat. After sundown, fly to Tel Aviv to the international airport to
check in to our return flight back to Canada. Those flying with AC will stay in
Eilat one more night. B
Day 16:–
return flight
Early morning return flight to Canada for those who have decided
to end the trip; you may pre plan to extend your stay in Israel. El Al arrival
in Toronto is estimated to be at 06:15 A.M. Those returning with AC will be
flown in the evening to Ben-Gurion to connect to a 00:10 (next day) departure
to Canada. B
Important Notice: As bookings are made
months prior to departure it may be necessary to make minor changes before the
final itinerary is published. The
information meeting held prior to departure will provide further details. All
efforts are made to use the restaurants mentioned in the itinerary. However changes may have to be made at the
last minute subject to number of participants and availability, on location.
Time Table:

Interview and Registration.
2.
Finalize extensions of stay, additional tours
and other individual arrangements. It is highly recommended to finalize these
arrangements no later than 3 months before departure.
3.
Travel insurance must be issued 2.5 months
prior to departure (Deposits becomes non refundable).
4.
Airline tickets must be paid and issued 35
days prior to departure.
5.
Final payments must be made 30 days prior to
departure.
6.
An information meeting will be held prior to
departure to give participants an opportunity to meet. Valuable information and documentation will
be distributed. Out of town families
will receive materials by courier.
7.
Passports must be valid for six months beyond travel date
