Day 1 - Arrival Istanbul

Your greeted upon landing in Istanbul and transferred to your hotel by our representative. Balance of day at leisure.

Day 2 - Istanbul

Tour Topkapi Palace, residence of the Ottoman Sultans, the Hippodrome the site of Chariot races, the Blue Mosque famous for its colourful ceramics and Saint Sophia decorated with ancient frescoes. Lunch en-route. Enjoy the 3,000 shops in the Covered Bazaar. Overnight in Istanbul (B,L)

Day 3 - Istanbul

Half day tour of Dolmabahce Palace or a cruise on the Boshporus, depending on weather conditions. Optional evening of Turkish cuisine and entertainment. Overnight in Istanbul (B)

Day 4 - Ankara / Cappadocia

Transfer to the airport for your flight to Ankara. Tour the Hittite artifacts at the Museum of Anatolian Civilizations. Visit the Mausoleum of Ataturk, father of modern Turkey. Lunch en-route. Drive to Cappadocia, touring a 13th century caravan inn en route. Dinner and overnight in Cappadocia. (B,L,D)

Day 5 - Cappadocia

Tour Goreme’s rock chapels decorated with 6th century frescoes, Zelve’s cliff-side Byzantine monastic complex. Lunch en-route. Continue to Uchisar’s natural citadel. Dinner and overnight in Cappadocia. (B,L,D)

Day 6 - Cappadocia / Ankara / Izmir

Explore the eight story underground city of Kaymakli where thousands of early Christians hid from persecutors.After lunch and shopping, drive to Ankara and board an evening flight to Izmir for dinner and overnight. (B,L)

Day 7 - Pamukkale / Izmir

Travel to Pamukkale’s white lime cascades formed by hot mineral springs. After touring the Hierapolis Roman health spa ruins, return to Izmir for dinner and overnight. (B,L)

Day 8 - Ephesus & St. Mary’s House / Izmir

Explore the Greco-Roman and Christian ruins of Ephesus. After lunch visit the Virgin Mary’s stone cottage before returning to Izmir for overnight. (B,L)

Day 9 - Izmir - Departure

A representative will transfer you to the airport for your flight to Istanbul and connect to your international flights to Canada. (B)
