Saturday Arrival

 

Day 1 - Saturday: Arrival to Casablanca Airport.

Welcome and assistance transfer to your hotel. Balance of day leisure. Overnight in Casablanca.

 

Day 2 - Sunday: Casablanca / Rabat

After breakfast, half day sightseeing in Casablanca before continuing to Rabat for dinner and overnight. (B, D)

 

Day 3 - Monday: Rabat / Moulay Idriss / Voulubilis / Meknes / Fes

Sightseeing of the “Imperial Garden City” begins with the Kasbah of Oudayas, Hassan Tower and the walls of the Mechouar which surround the Royal Palace. Before arriving to Meknes, a short visit of Moulay Idriss, a sacred Islamic town, passing by the Roman ruins of Volubilis. Sightseeing of Meknes “Moroccan Versailles” a town founded in the 17th century by the King Moulay Ismael. Dinner and overnight in Fes. (B, D)

 

Day 4 - Wednesday: Fes / Erfoud

Departure via the Middle-Atlas Mountains, passing by Ifrane and Azrou: an important handicraft centre. Stop at Midelt for optional lunch. Continuation to Erfoud or Errachidia situated at the foot of Jebel Erfoud not far from the right bank of Ziz River. Visit the Blue Meski. Dinner and overnight at hotel Erfoud or Errachidia. Day 5 - Thursday: Erfoud

Morning at leisure. Afternoon excursion to Rissani. the Capital of the Tafilalet where the Alaouites dynasty ancestors are buried. Visit the 17th century Kasbah and the imposing ruins of Ksar Abbar. Optional excursion to Merzouga for sunset or bivouac & Mehari. (B, D)

 

Day 6 - Friday: Erfoud / Tinghir / El Kelaa / Ouarzazate

Morning departure to Tinghir via Tindjdad Road an oasis rich with fruit trees, almonds and hedges of small strongly scented roses used in the factory of perfume essence. Visit the magnificent Kasbahs. Visit of the Todra Canyons, and extremely wild region from which dark rocky masses and peaks emerge from the backdrop of tints and hues of light that have to be seen to be believed. Continue to El Kelaa through the Dades Valley. Short sightseeing of El Kelaa (Roses festival in May). Departure to Ouarzazate through the road of the Thousand Kasbahs. Dinner and overnight in Ouarzazate. (B, D)

 

Day 7 - Saturday: Ouarzazate

Optional excursion to Zagora- M’Hamid sunset at Tinfou (without a supplement). Day at leisure or a full day excursion to Zagora, Draa Valley and the village of Amzrou (an old Jewish Village). Visit M’hamid, the last settlement before Sahara.Return to Ouarzazate with a stop at Tinfou for relaxing and a walk on the sand dunes viewing the sunset. Dinner and overnight in Ourzazate. (B, D)

 

Day 8 - Sunday: Ouarzazate / Marrakech

Visit of Ouarzazate including Tiffeltout and Taourirt Kasbahs. Departure to the fortified village of Ait Ben Haddou, the most spectacular fortress in the south of Morocco. Continue to Marrakech through the Tichka pass (2260m). Dinner and overnight in Marrakech. (B, D)

 

Day 9 - Monday: Marrakech

Full day tour of Marrakech the “Pearl of the South” founded by the Almoravides dynasty at the end of the 12th century. Visit the souks of Marrakech and the Djemaa El Fna Square. Lunch at the hotel. Afternoon visit of Saadiens Tombs, Dar Si Said Musuem, Menara and Agdal gardens, the Koutoubia, and the Bahia Palace. Optional dinner in a typical restaurant with a folklore show. (B, L)

 

Day 10 - Tuesday: Marrakech

Day at leisure in Marrakech. Optional excursions in the region of this city. Dinner and overnight in Marrakech. (B, D)

 

Day 11 - Wednesday: Marrakech

Day at leisure in Marrakech. Optional excursions in the region of this city. Dinner and overnight in Marrakech. (B, D)

 

Day 12 - Thursday: Marrakech / Essaouira

Depart to Essaouira, famously called “Mogador”. Visit of the “Scala”, the sea port and the Medina. Dinner and overnight in Essaouira. (B, D)

 

Day 13 - Friday: Essaouira / Safi / El Jadida / Casablanca

After breakfast drive to Safi to visit the Portuguese Sea Castle, The Pottery’s Hill. Continue to Oualidia (Seaside resort) famous with its Oyster Farming. In the afternoon drive to El Jadida, once called “Mazagan” by the Portuguese for a visit before continuing to Casablanca for dinner and overnight. (B, D)

 

Day 14 - Saturday: Casablanca

Transfer to the airport for your flight home.
