Day 1 - Arrival
Ahalan Wa Sahalan, you will be met by this traditional greeting when you
arrive at Cairo airport. Assisted transfer by our representative will take you
to your Cairo hotel.
Day 2 - Old Cairo
Spend an exciting day of sightseeing in Old Cairo. Visit the famous
Egyptian museum which houses the Tutanakhamen exhibition. Stop at the Citadel,
the Alabaster and Mohamed Ali Mosque and visit the noisy and chaotic Khan El
Khalili Bazaar. Overnight in Cairo. (B)
Day 3 - Great Pyramids
/ Memphis / Sakkara / Overnight train to Luxor
This morning you visit the three great Pyramids of Giza, considered to
be one of the seventh wonders of the world. Visit the 5000 year old Sphinx and
the Temple of the Valley. Proceed to visit the ruins of the ancient capital of
Egypt, Memphis, where the monumental statue of Ramses II is located. At Sakkara
you visit the Step Pyramid of Zoser, representing a staircase to heaven and the
Tombs of Sakkara, view the amazing City of the Dead. An evening transfer will
take you to Cairo railway station as you leave aboard the first class sleeper
train to Luxor. Dinner and overnight aboard the sleeper train. (B, D)
Day 4 - Luxor / Nile
Cruise
Following your arrival in Luxor you will be escorted to the your deluxe
Nile cruiser for embarkation before lunch. Afternoon sightseeing will take you
through the most spectacular statues and monuments in Egypt. Visit the great
Temple of Luxor and Karnak, the Holy City of Pylons and the Obelisk dedicated
to God Amen, his wife Mut and their son Moon God Khons. Dinner and overnight
aboard the cruise ship in Luxor. (B, L, D)
Day 5 - Valley of the
Kings / Esna / Nile Cruise
Visit to the Necropolis of Thebes. Visit the Valley of the Kings where
over 60 Pharaohs had their palatial resting place hewed into the sheer rock.
Other highlights of your sightseeing today will include the Unique Temple of
Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon, facing the Nile. Evening sailing will
take you to Esna and the Temple of Khnum, dedicated to the god who created men
and animals from the clay of the Nile and past the famous “lock” as you reach Edfu.
Breakfast, lunch, dinner and your overnight will be aboard the Nile cruise

Day 6 - Edfu / Kom
Ombo / Nile Cruise
This morning you visit the well preserved Temple of Horus in Edfu, the
falcon headed God. Proceed to Kom Ombo for a visit to the Temple shared by the
two Gods, Sobek and Haroeris, where beautiful murals and fine views of the Nile
are offered. In the evening you continue along the Nile for Aswan. Breakfast,
lunch, dinner and your overnight will be aboard the Nile cruise ship. (B, L, D)
Day 7 - Aswan / Nile
Cruise
After a morning breakfast aboard the ship you will visit the Aswan High
Dam, a wonder of the modern world which altered the course of the Nile forever.
Complete the tour with a visit to the Temple of Philae. In the afternoon you
will sail on a picturesque “Felucca” sailboat and view the ancient frontier
fortress of Elephantine Island, and Kitchener Botanical Gardens before
returning to your ship. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and your overnight will be
aboard the Nile cruise ship. (B, L, D)
Day 8 - Aswan / Cairo
After breakfast you disembark your Nile Cruise ship in Aswan. A transfer
will take you to the airport for your flight back to Cairo. Overnight in Cairo.
