Day 1 - Arrival

Ahalan Wa Sahalan, you will be met by this traditional greeting as you arrive at Cairo airport. Assisted transfer by our representative will take you to your Cairo hotel.

Day 2 - Old Cairo

Spend an exciting day of sightseeing in Old Cairo. Visit the famous Egyptian museum which houses the Tutanakhamen exhibition. Stop at the Citadel, the Alabaster and Mohamed Ali Mosque and visit the noisy and chaotic Khan El Khalili Bazaar. Overnight in Cairo. (B)

Day 3 - Great Pyramids / Memphis / Sakkara / Overnight train to Aswan

This morning you visit the three great Pyramids of Giza, considered to be one of the seventh wonders of the world. Visit the 5000 year old Sphinx and the Temple of the Valley. Proceed to visit the ruins of the ancient capital of Egypt, Memphis, where the monumental statue of Ramses II is located. At Sakkara you visit the Step Pyramid of Zoser, representing a staircase to heaven and the Tombs of Sakkara, and view the amazing City of the Dead. An evening transfer will take you to Cairo railway station as you leave aboard the first class sleeper train to Aswan. Dinner and overnight aboard the sleeper train. (B, D)

Day 4 - Aswan / Late evening train to Luxor

Morning arrival in Aswan. Visit the high dam in Aswan, a wonder of the modern world, built to alter the course of the River Nile for the first time in history. Stop at the ancient granite quarries between the old and new dams and complete the tour with a view by felucca sail of Kitchener Botanical gardens and the Agha Khan Mausoleum. An afternoon transfer will take you to the railway station for your departure aboard the first class train to Luxor. Late arrival in Luxor and transfer to your hotel for overnight. (B)

Day 5 - Luxor / Karnak / Valley of the Kings

Be prepared today for an adventure of a lifetime as you wander through the most spectacular statues and monuments in this incredible site. Visit the Temple of Karnak and Luxor. Stroll through the awe inspiring Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon. An evening transfer will take you to the airport for the flight back to Cairo, for your last overnight of this tour. (B)

Day 6 - Departure

Breakfast at your hotel will be followed by an assisted departure transfer to the airport. (B)
