Day 1 - Arrival

Ahalan Wa Sahalan, you will be met by this traditional greeting when you arrive at Cairo airport. An assisted transfer will take you to your Cairo hotel.

Day 2 - Cairo

Spend an exciting day sightseeing in Old Cairo. Visit the world famous Egyptian Museum including the Tutankhamen Exhibition. Stop at the Citadel, the Alabaster and Mohamed Ali Mosques as well as the noisy and chaotic Khan Khalili Bazaar. Overnight in Cairo. (B)

Day 3 - Great Pyramids / Memphis / Sakkara

Drive west to the three Great Pyramids of Giza which are known as one of the seven wonders of the world. Visit the 5000 year old Sphinx and the Temple of the Valley. In the afternoon proceed to the ruins of the ancient capital of Egypt, Memphis, where the monumental statue of Ramses II is located. At Sakkara visit the Step Pyrmid of Zoser, representing a staircase to heaven and the Tombs of Sakkara, view the amazing City of the Dead. A late afternoon transfer will take you to Cairo railway station as you board your sleeper train bound for Luxor. Dinner and overnight aboard your sleeper train. (B, D)

Day 4 - Luxor / Nile Cruise

Following your arrival in Luxor you will be escorted to the your deluxe Nile cruiser for embarkation before lunch. Afternoon sightseeing will take you through the most spectacular statues and monuments in Egypt. Visit the great Temple of Luxor and Karnak, the Holy City of Pylons and the Obelisk dedicated to God Amen. Dinner and overnight aboard the cruise ship in Luxor. (B, L, D)

Day 5 - Valley of the Kings and Queens / Esna Edfu / Nile Cruise

Visit to the Necropolis of Thebes. Visit the Valley of the Kings where over 60 Pharaohs had their palatial resting place hewed into the sheer rock. Other highlights of your sightseeing today will include the Unique Temple of Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon, facing the Nile. Evening sailing will take you past the famous “lock” as you reach Edfu. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and your overnight will be aboard the Nile cruise ship. (B, L, D)

Day 6 - Edfu / Kom Ombo / Nile Cruise

This morning you visit the well preserved Temple of Horus, the falcon headed God. Proceed to Kom Ombo for a visit to the Temple shared by the two Gods, Sobek and Haroeris, where beautiful murals and fine views of the Nile are offered. In the evening you continue along the Nile for Aswan. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and your overnight will be aboard the Nile cruise ship. (B, L, D)

Day 7 - Aswan / Nile Cruise

After a morning breakfast aboard the ship you will visit the Aswan dam, a wonder of the modern world which altered the course of the Nile forever. Complete the tour with a visit to the Temple of Philae. In the afternoon you will sail on a picturesque “Felucca” sailboat and view the ancient frontier fortress of Elephantine Island before returning to your ship. Lunch, dinner and overnight aboard the Nile cruise ship. (B, L, D)

Day 8 - Aswan / Edfu / Nile Cruise

After breakfast you have a free morning on board as the ship sails along the beautiful Nile towards Edfu. Afternoon you stop for a view of Kom Ombo with its magnificent Temple and continue towards Edfu. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and overnight aboard the ship. (B, L, D)

Day 9 - Edfu / Esna / Luxor / Nile Cruise

Morning sail to Esna for a visit to the beautiful Temple of God Khnum, dedicated to the god who created men and animals from the clay of the Nile. Afternoon sail to Luxor. Breakfast, lunch and dinner aboard the Nile cruise ship. (B, L, D)

Day 10 - Luxor / Cairo

After breakfast a morning visit will take you to the Luxor Museum, followed by a transfer to the airport for your flight back to Cairo. Rest of the day is free in Cairo to leisurely enjoy your last day in Egypt. (B)

Day 11 - Departure

Breakfast at your hotel will be followed by an assisted transfer to the airport. (B)
