Massada • Dea Sea
Depart via the Judean Hills to the Dead Sea, the lowest place on earth;
drive along the shores of the Dead Sea to Massada. Ascend by cable car and tour
the mountain fortress built by King Herod, where the Zealots made their last
stand against the Romans. Visit the remains of the walls, palaces, the
synagogue, water cisterns, mosaic fl oors, roman bath etc. Descend by cable
car. Travel along the Sea and you will have time to swim and fl oat in the Dead
Sea, enriched with minerals that can have curative eff ects.
Jerusalem of Gold
On this tour you will see the most exciting sights of Jerusalem. _ e
tour begins with a drive to the Mount of Olives for a panoramic view of the
city. Enter the Old City and walk through the Armenian and Jewish quarters to
the recently excavated and restored Cardo, the Roman road. See the Jewish
Wailing Wall, the Kotel and continue to the Christian quarter. Walk along the
Via Dolorosa and visit the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Proceed to the New
City visiting Yad Vashem*, the Memorial to the Holocaust. *On Fridays,
Saturdays and Jewish Holidays, instead of Yad Vashem, the tour will take you to
visit the Tomb of King David, the room of the Last Supper and Dormition Abbey.
The Galilee
Enjoy a lovely day travelling through the outstanding landscape of the
Lower Galilee. Depart Tel Aviv via the coastal road and landscape of the Lower
Galilee to Nazareth, the town where Jesus spent his childhood. Visit the Church
of Annunciation and the Church of St.Josef. Continue via Kana and proceed to
the resort town of Tiberias. Drive along the shores of the Sea of Galilee to visit
Capernaum and view the ruins of the ancient synagogue. Continue to Tabgha, site
of the miracle of loaves and fi sh, located at the foot of the Golan Heights.
Continue to Yardenit, famous site of baptism, where the Jordan River exits the
Sea of Galilee towards the Dead Sea
